Jonathan Gadir

Jonathan is a privacy and AI governance principal at Privacy 108, with over a decade of experience helping corporate and government clients translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical, client-focused recommendations. His background spans consulting and government policy, giving him a broad perspective on privacy, cyber security, and data governance issues across the public and private sectors.

Jonathan’s core expertise includes Privacy Impact Assessments, and the design and implementation of privacy and data governance frameworks, policies, and standards. He is proficient across major privacy legislative regimes, including Australia, the EU and UK GDPR, New Zealand, the US, Singapore, India, and China, and regularly delivers privacy, cyber, and data governance training. He also has extensive experience in data breach incident response, including liaising with regulators such as the OAIC and coordinating with internal cyber security and legal teams.

Prior to joining Privacy 108, Jonathan spent several years as a Senior Consultant at elevenM Consulting, delivering privacy, data, and AI governance services to corporate and government clients, including a multi-year program of Privacy Impact Assessments for NSW Government technology platforms. He has also held senior privacy and data governance roles at AMP and IAG, and spent several years as a NSW Government policy adviser, where he co-authored the state’s first Cyber Security Strategy and Cyber Security Policy. Earlier in his career, Jonathan worked as a policy adviser on telecommunications consumer issues, and was a journalist with the ABC.
